I had this uncomfortable realization. The map of the coronavirus cases is similar to a brain map of ideas. The red zones would be the most coherent topics, while the rest are scattered. That is, they are not connected to one central theme.
It's uncomfortable because I have associated coronavirus with death. And here I am comparing it to idea generation. It's unsettling.
But I have to let it out because it's eating at me. I might be interested in neuroscience after all.
So whose brain is it?
If I take this analogy forward, whose brain is the earth then? And what does it tell us about humans?
Mother nature is getting rid of us. That's a chilling thought. I need a drink.
